About Me.
Hi I'm Ridhi, a passionate advocate for women's empowerment and challenging societal norms that perpetuate objectification. I strongly believe in using education and creativity to bring about positive change and foster a more inclusive and respectful society.
One of my notable achievements is designing a shoe that aims to neutralize sexual objectification. This innovative footwear features positive quotes written all over it, serving as a powerful statement against objectification and promoting self-worth and confidence. By incorporating these uplifting messages into everyday fashion, I seek to spark conversations, challenge harmful norms, and encourage individuals to embrace their individuality and uniqueness.
In line with my dedication to understanding and addressing the complex issue of sexual objectification, I have also written a research paper on the Neurological correlates of sexual objectification along with Harvard student agencies in the International Education and Research Journal. Through in-depth analysis and examination, I aim to shed light on the cognitive and emotional processes involved, helping to create a deeper understanding of the impact objectification has on individuals' well-being and self-perception.
As a student ambassador at UNICEF, I had the privilege of representing Oakridge international school at the NAE-UNICEF summit. In this role, I participated in workshops, learn't more about the SDGs, spoke at the New York UNICEF house and contributed to UNICEF's mission of ensuring that every child has a fair chance in life.
My journey as an advocate for women's empowerment and challenging objectification has shaped my commitment to fostering positive change. I strongly believe that through education, creativity, and raising awareness, we can create a more equitable and inclusive society. I am dedicated to inspiring others, promoting self-love, and challenging harmful societal norms that limit individuals based on their gender or appearance.
Our Mission
We believe in empowering women through education and access to affordable menstrual hygiene products. Our organization teaches children in underprivileged schools how to make reusable sanitary pads, and then provides the necessary materials to make these pads. In addition, we partner with other NGOs to provide menstrual health education and distribute our pads.
